Dimples...Now a Procedure that adds more to your beauty.
Dimple creation surgery is a quick, painless procedure that is performed on an outpatient basis. Dimples can be created on any type or size cheek, making just about everyone a candidate for the procedure. You have the ability to decide where you would like your dimples to be. But if you prefer, Dr. Hussein Hashim will recommend the location on your cheek that will deliver the best aesthetic result.
Dimples in the cheeks are generally considered a sign of cuteness and can enhance your overall facial appearance. This highly desirable trait has long been coveted by many men and women, but until recently the only way to get dimples was to be born with them. Fortunately, you can now achieve a beautiful, dimpled look with facial plastic surgery.
Dr. Hussein Hashim will make a tiny incision on the inside of your cheek. Since an internal incision is used, there is no visible scarring after your procedure. An absorbable suture is tied at the incision location to create the dimple. Once the suture is absorbed and your cheek heals, the scar tissue between the inner skin and the underlying facial muscle will create a permanent dimple.
Recovery after dimple creation surgery is relatively minimal. You can start eating soft foods several hours after surgery, and you will most likely be able to resume normal activities the next morning. In most cases, you should be able to return to work one to two days after surgery.
During the healing process, your new dimples may be visible at all times. However, after a few weeks, your dimples will only be present when you smile.
Dimple creation surgery is safe and effective, and there are minimal complications with dimple formation aside from a little bit of swelling and bruising. You should be able to resume your normal activities the following day.
Yes. The procedure will result in a permanent dimple.
In the beginning there is a dimple present even without smiling, but usually within a few weeks (sometimes a couple of months), the dimple is only present while smiling or moving the face. As you heal, the dimple will slowly flatten out when you are not smiling and will only be present when you are smiling.
