The operation is done under general anesthesia, where the implant is put either sub muscular or sub facial, the incision is either around the nipple or submammary (under the breast or in the armpit). The operation lasts less than one hour and the patient can go home a few hours later. We put a small dressing and patient has to put a special cotton bra for next three weeks. Pain is moderate in the first three days.

Short ducts cause inverted nipples. We can correct this condition with a simple procedure under local anesthesia. Large areola is easy to be reduced either in a separate procedure or in conjunction with breast reduction or mastopexy.
Most ladies have difference between the shape and size of breasts. We attempt to correct the difference if significant in size and shape. We usually correct these deformities by correcting the volume loss with implant and we can correct the shape and position of the nipple by skin remodeling.
No. Breast implants do not cause breast cancer, or any other cancer. Studies has shown that women with breast implants and those with no implants have same risk of breast cancer. After augmentation you can continue to do mammograms as recommended by your physician. You have to notify your radiologists that you have implants so they will take special views to maximize outcome of mammogram.
Breast augmentation can be done from age of eighteen and above, patient must be healthy and must perform a mammography to clear her breast before operation, if they are sagging we can perform breast lifting with augmentation.
